CADE's free, 5-week Business Planning Workshop for Farm and Food Entrepreneurs will soon be available as a free, self-guided online course, with full access to 5 weeks' worth of resources, presentations and curriculum materials.
The changing economic and social landscape has presented both challenges and opportunities to businesses in the farm and food industry, confirming CADE's conviction that a strong local food system is made up of businesses and communities committed to sustainability, collaboration, inclusion, transparency and innovation. By the end of this workshop/course, each participant will have completed the key components of a business plan, and gained market, consumer, financial and operations insights that incorporate these values into all aspects of the business, ensuring viability and resilience in this new era.

Farm & Food Business Incubator (FFBI)
Education + Mentoring + Processing + Networking = Opportunity
The FFBI, a partnership between CADE and SUNY Cobleskill, provides a wide range of supportive services at no cost for new and developing farm and food entrepreneurs, with the goal of helping them launch and grow their businesses. The program is 1 of 20 Certified Business Incubators under New York’s NYSTAR program.
Incubator offerings are tailored to each client’s individual needs, and range from support and training on business plan development to facilitating access to markets, resources, networks, and funding opportunities and ongoing business mentorship. As with all of CADE’s programs, our incubator services emphasize the values of sustainability, innovation, transparency, collaboration and inclusion.
Our partnership with SUNY Cobleskill brings an additional dimension to the incubator, providing entrepreneurs seeking to develop value-added products and processes access to specialized facilities and staff resources.
