Wednesday, March 27th

7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Special Business Topic: Succession Planning

Description: It's never the wrong time to think about what will happen to your farm or other business when you're ready to ride off into the sunset.  Even when you are first starting out, you need a plan for where you want to go, and you need to make sure you take the first steps to get you there.  Will this be a business you will eventually wish to sell? Do you hope to pass it on to family members?   This session will address some of the legal and financial considerations of thinking proactively about the future of your business and your future.  It will also highlight the steps needed to begin passing the necessary skills and authority to the next farm/business operator.   Attorney Megan Harris-Pero of Harris-Pero Legal Counsel, PLLC will present the basic information you need to know and the legal tools that can help you be more prepared for future transitions in your business and personal life.

Fee: There is no charge for any of the workshops in the series, but pre-registration is required.
