Cornell Cooperative Extension of Sullivan County educators will discuss the basics of soil health, the cover crop species available, and their benefits. Participants will learn tips on equipment used to seed and harvest cover crops. US Department of Agriculture and NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets (DAM) will cover crop insurance and risk management. Lunch is provided. Participants will earn NYS DEC 2.0 pesticide credits in categories 1A, 10, and 21 as well as 1.0 credit in category 23.
