Agriventure

The Agriventure Concept

The purpose of Agriventure is to promote successful farm and agricultural businesses in central New York by providing professional business and marketing planning assistance to agricultural entrepreneurs. In addition, the Agriventure program involves education programs for youth and public policy research. The guiding principle of Agriventure is that successful farm enterprises require sound planning, strategic market development and promotion, and excellent customer service.

The Agriventure Program, a CADE initiative, was originally founded in September 2003.  This was made possible by a four-year grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.  Winrock International is funding a three-year grant for expansion of the Agriventure Program to begin in September 2007.

Who Can Participate in Agriventure?
Farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs in Central New York are eligible for Agriventure business and market planning assistance. Consumers throughout the United States may inquire about available farm products, so that connections between producers and consumers can be made. In addition, CADE will share information about Agriventure to interested persons and organizations throughout the United States.
